Youth Centre Domžale was founded in 1998. It is a public institute, located in a town of Domžale in central Slovenia. It provides activities for young people between 7 and 30 years, their parents, youth workers and other experts in the field of youth and social work.
The principal aims of the Youth Centre are: to provide support for youth in the local area; to give them opportunity to spend their free time wisely and to encourage them to get actively involved in a society on a local, national, and international level. To achieve these goals we run various activities, which are held by Youth Centre Domžale alone or in cooperation with other Slovenian and international organizations. What do we do: organise workshops for youth and children (creative, photo, design, career), help young people in need and take care of their well-being (study help, preventive activities, counselling, professional lectures, coordination of the Unicef’s safe spots in local area, sport activities), manage daily centre Plac za mlade, inform young people about topics, related to them, and cooperation with other youth organisations,
non-formal education activities (creative workshops, language courses), cultural dimension (exhibitions of young artists, art, literally and photo calls, reading club),
cooperation with local schools (educational workshops, info points, activity days), international programmes (youth exchanges, trainings, volunteering projects… financed by Erasmus+ and European solidarity corps),
