Study Visit with Partnership Building: Rural Youth Work

This activity is a study visit with partnership building elements to observe different Turkish organizations working with rural youth and share practices & make sustainable collaborations.

What is this activity?

This activity is part of a Training and Cooperation Activity (TCA) organized by the Turkish National Agency for Erasmus+ & ESC. TCA is a tool for National Agencies to support the Erasmus+ Program and enhance its impact.

Venue

Kars, located in northeastern Türkiye, is a city with a rich historical and cultural heritage, known for the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ani. 

Kars is also home to many rural development projects, ranging from education and youth to culture and economic development. During the study visits, there will be an opportunity to observe the synergy between youth work and rural development by visiting different kinds of projects.

Objectives of this Study Visit:

  • Learning about different examples of youth workers working with rural youth;

  • Exploring good practices of various rural youth organizations;

  • Building partnerships for international rural youth cooperation.

  • Discussing the quality of rural youth work and how it can be improved; 

  • Supporting organizations working with rural youth in Erasmus+ Youth opportunities, such as Youth Exchanges and Youth Participation Projects.

Profile of the participants:

There will be approximately 35 participants from Program and Partner countries who are:

  • youth workers and project managers from organizations actively working with rural youth;
  • interested in international cooperation focused on supporting rural youth work;
  • eager to deepen their understanding of rural youth work and to apply new insights in their practice;
  • committed to apply Erasmus+ youth project in the next round.
  • at least 18 years old;
  • able to understand and speak English.

There also will be indoor activities aims at discussing rural youth work and build partnerships.

Transportation during the study visits will be provided with private shuttles by Turkish National Agency.

The accomodation will be in single rooms. 

Travel reimbursement

FOR ERASMUS+ PROGRAM COUNTRIES

The NA of your country of residence will reimburse your travel costs.  Before applying, please contact the NA in your country of residence to confirm if they are willing to cover your travel expenses for this activity.

FOR PARTNER COUNTRIES

Turkish National Agency will reimburse travel expenses of participants from partner countries. Details will be sent to those who are selected. 

Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
