In 5 days you will practice and learn various techniques of stress handling, mindfulness methods and other tips to stay "sane". You can use them in your work, at the university, but also in other works or in personal life. You will also explore city Brno.

Stress is a disease of civilization in today's society. It can appear in almost all areas of our lives and, although it can sometimes have a motivating and positive effect, in most cases it is rather harmful and can cause various diseases or syndromes.

So how do you deal with stress? How to keep sane mental health? How to "properly" turn off and regenerate the body and mind? How to prevent diseases and syndromes? How can mindfulness help us live a more fulfilling life?

If you want to know the answers and you care about your mental health, this course is for you!

The main purpose of this training course is to provide you with the know-how needed to handle stress, stay grounded and in the present moment. The training will focus on different situations that provoke stress reactions - these will be thoroughly explained also from the scientific point of view. We will go through various techniques of stress handling and different mindfulness methods will be introduced and exercised. Participants will be actively involved in all the processes, interact and will be constantly challenged in the learning process in a safe environment.

The program will use methods of non-formal learning and include topics and activities like: forms of stress, its effects and symptoms, working under stress, acute and chronic stress, Mindfulness, Mindfulness principles, different meditation techniques, breathing excercises, stress and time management, past and future influences, thinking patterns, yoga. 
You will also have a chance to get to know the Czech culture and second biggest Czech city Brno.

The training course is designed more specificaly on youth workers, university employees working with students interested in active work on oneself, with need/desire to take a break from "real" problems, have a better life and help the youth they work with also improve their lives.

It also cooperates with various institutions and prepares tailor-made lectures and seminars.

Costs

Participation fee

Participation fee:  300 €
- includes training course program, all materials in and after the sessions, guidance and willingness to help and enjoy your stay in Brno, welcome package, online informational guide with everything you need to know ahead your arrival, organisational and lecturer fee

Erasmus+ Staff mobility training or VET (Vocational Education and Training) grants or other may be used to cover the fee. The course is not funded by Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme.

The fee is paid in 2 instalments

- deposit 150 € (to be paid maximum on 10th August 2021, in order to ensure your place in the group)

- and remaining 150 € maximum one week prior to the start of the training course

*Covid-19 online form (in case Covid measures will not allow us to meet in person) – 3 hours a day including 30 minutes break, 9 - 12:30. The fee in this case would be 150€.

Accommodation and food

Accommodation in Brno and food are not provided. 

We will provide you with useful tips for different types of accommodations (from cost effective to more luxurious) in the city centre. 

Meals and food - there are plenty of possibilities to eat for very reasonable prices (e.g. lunch menu = soup + main dish, is just 4 - 5 € in most of the restaurants). Brno is well know for its gastronomy :)

Travel reimbursement

Travel costs will NOT be reimbursed.

We can provide you with tips how to get to Brno - there are many opportunities how to approach us quite easily :)
