Training combining participatory project management methods and storytelling. Aim is to promote enterpreneurship among young people and offer inovative tools for education.
“Story is the key” is an innovative 8-day training course for youth workers with special emphasis on promotion of entrepreneurship among young people in rural areas. The project will be organized in natural environment of village Prenčov in Slovakia, nearby UNESCO town - Banská Štiavnica. The venue is offering the experience of deeper personal and social interactions and sense of belonging to community in rural environment. We aim to host 30 participants from 11 countries. This project is aiming to prepare Youth workers, trainers and facilitators to promote entrepreneurship among young people and to empower them with various methods focused on self-presentation, presentation of own products, projects or enterprises. The training is built on experiential learning, and we will explore method of storytelling accompanying humans since oldest times. As a structure we will use Dragon dreaming project methodology focused on development of sustainable communal projects or enterprises.

Civic association ART KRUH is corporation of artists, craftsmen, creative and common people. Our mission is preservation and development of traditional values in the fields of culture, crafts and arts. Following environmental awareness, we focus on harmonious symbiosis between nature and cultural heritage - specifically in rural areas. Our activities aim to contribute to local and regional development and sustainability. Our main target group is youth (but also adults and children) that we aim to motivate to active, creative and sustainable life-style in the countryside. We are founding Village center of non-formal education “Golden hill”, to create a space for education, expression and exploration of one’s Self through creative, cultural, spiritual, artistic and also everyday-life activities. We organize:
- Educational activities such as courses, lectures, seminars
- Cultural events such as festivals, happenings and street theatre
- Workshops in handicraft (ceramics, woodcarving, carpentry, furniture and building restoration) and theatre
Besides that we carry on local museum “Black kitchen” where traditional way of cooking and living is presented.

Costs

All food and accomodation is funded from Erasmus+ grant. Travel costs will be reimbursed after the training, when we receive all travelling bills including boarding passes. Travel cost will be reimbursed up to the following limit: Czech republic 180E, Ireland 360E, Itlay 275E, Spain 275E, Lithuania 275E, Netherlands 275E, Hungary 180E, UK 275E, Romania 180E, Slovakia 20E, Greece 275E. There is a participation fee between 40E - 100E, depending on participants will, and possibilities. Should this be the only obstacle for you to participate in this training course, please contact us.
