Star of Europe Denmark

Training Course

19-23 September 2022 | Svendborg, Denmark

Take a step by step journey through a youth exchange project. You will learn how to organise youth exchanges by involving young people at every stage.

Learn How to Make REAL Youth Exchanges!

Learn how to make youth exchanges like they are meant to be!  You will learn how to support young people to make their own projects, instead of making projects for them.

Focus on ownership

The more young people are involved in the process, the more they learn trough their involvement. You can help young people to come up with the project idea, choose the topic for it and design the activities for its programme. They can run the activities themselves and plan dissemination activities that they organise for other young people.

Star of Europe helps you to see how young people can be involved at every step – in every participating country!

Step by step process

The youth exchange process is divided in 9 steps. You go through each of the steps and see what they are in practice.

You will learn how the young participants can take an active role in each of the steps. You get tools for involving them and supporting their ownership.

For newcomers - and those who want to update their practices

If you have never organised a youth exchange before, you are the participant we are looking for. Also, if you are experienced, but interested in making your practices more participative, the training is good for you.

You must be working directly with young people, so that you can implement the learned skills to the work with them. This is not a training for an administrator or someone who writes applications alone in the office.

You will have to be at least 18 years old

Take use of the digital material

Star of Europe steps are also available in digital form at www.starofeurope.eu website. You can watch the short videos and use the existing materials.

Small steps for a better world

In our activities we support the principle of a safer space, where no one is discriminated or bullied because of their background or person. We want you to respect the same principle.

We also strive to make the world a little bit greener. This is why we are primarily choosing vegetarian diets whenever possible. Let us know if meat is a requirement - otherwise green meals will be the primary option.

The venue where we organise the event is accessible for wheelchairs. We will also consider your special needs so that you can fully participate in the training.
