Training Course
17-24 October 2026 | Jánoshalma, Hungary
What if sport could do more than move people? What if it could move society forward?
Sport for Sustainable Development is an international Training Course bringing together youth workers, sport coaches, educators and facilitators who want to explore the potential of sport beyond physical activity.
During the training, participants will discover Education Through Sport (ETS) through practice and theory and explore how sport and non-formal education can be used to address the Sustainable Development Goals, social responsibility and active citizenship.
But this is not a training where you simply sit, listen and take notes. The learning process is built around experiential learning, movement, reflection, peer learning and co-creation. Participants will experience educational sport activities themselves, analyse the learning behind them and gradually build a practical toolbox of methods that can be transferred to their own organisations and communities.
Working in international teams, participants will then take the next step: designing their own Education Through Sport activities connected to sustainable development, testing and improving them together, and finally facilitating them with young people at a local school. In this way, ideas developed during the training will be transformed into real educational practice.
Along the way, participants will strengthen their facilitation, teamwork, communication, activity-design, reflection and leadership competences, exchange practices from different countries and build an international professional network.
Grow personally and professionally. And return home ready to give something back to your organisation, your community and the young people you work with.
If you believe that sport can be more than competition and want to learn how to turn movement into meaningful learning and positive change – this training course is for you! :)
