Space Inside

SPACE INSIDE is a 7 days training course that aims to discover how aspects of embodied emotional intelligence can improve one's ability to respond resiliently. We will share tools and experiences to explore yourselves through somatic and purely experiential approaches.

We will explore how dancing, being playful, using improvisational theatre, contact improvisation, empathic communication methods, body awareness exercises, etc., can connect one with understanding what is needed in any life situation and support one in living the challenges of youthwork or personal life.

This training is designed for youth workers, trainers, educators, mental health professionals, movement explorers, NGO leaders working with marginalized groups, youth, etc.

Mostly this training is for you, if you noticed the lack of skills while supporting your groups in a more embodied and holistic way.

Participants must be 18 to 99 years old and have a communicative level of the English language, so they can participate fully in a program that will be held in English.

Our majestic cook Alvis Zeļģis will make nutritious healthful and fulfilling vegan meals.

The training will work on:

• mental hygiene;
• communication skills;
• cooperation practices and patterns;
• personal energy management;
• improvisation techniques for effective interaction;
• experiences of nature connection;
• contact Improvisation & experimental movement;

Working methods:

We will be learning by doing.

The course will accommodate space for sharing ideas, opinions, experiences, and best practices, so if you consider joining the training, start thinking of some activities, you would like to propose.

Also, bear in mind that previous experiences with somatic practices are not needed to attend the training.
