Social Theatre Social Media: Creating Digital Content

Training Course

30 June - 8 July 2026 | Brezice, Slovenia

A training course for youth workers on creating educational digital content through storytelling, theatre and audiovisual tools, to address social issues and make youth learning more engaging and inclusive.

Social Media Social Theatre is an Erasmus+ training activity for youth workers, trainers, facilitators, coordinators and other professionals active in non-formal learning and youth work. The training is designed for applicants who want to strengthen the quality of their work with young people by using creative, participatory and digital methods.

The activity focuses on creating educational digital content through storytelling, theatre techniques and audiovisual production. Participants will explore how social theatre, creative communication and digital media can be used to address social issues, support youth learning, and make educational messages more engaging and accessible.

During the training, participants will develop practical skills in scriptwriting, storyboarding, filming, sound recording, basic editing, directing and digital communication. They will work in international teams to plan and produce short educational videos or audio pieces connected to topics relevant to young people and local communities.

The training combines non-formal education methods, creative workshops, teamwork, reflection and hands-on production. It aims to increase participants’ confidence in using digital tools, strengthen their communication and cooperation skills, and support them in bringing new creative methods back to their organisations and youth work practice.

After the activity, participants are expected to share what they have learned with colleagues and young people, and to contribute to the wider impact of the project through follow-up activities in their local communities.
