Conference – Symposium - Forum
4-6 October 2023 | Podgorica, Montenegro
SALTO European Solidarity Corps Resource Centre (SALTO ESC) and SALTO South East Europe Resource Centre (SALTO SEE) and the NAs that are part of Strategic National Agency Cooperation on Volunteering are inviting you for the event “SNAC Volunteering Conference – Shaping volunteering in Europe and beyond”.
The conference will take place in Podgorica, Montenegro 4. - 6. 10. 2023
(Arrival 3.10. afternoon or 4.10. early morning; departure 6.10. after lunch or 7.10. in the morning.)
Aim and objectives of the event
The aim of the conference is to strengthen the European Solidarity Corps Programme and volunteering in general.

Profile of participants
We are looking for people who want to voice their opinion, listen to other realities and not only celebrate what has been accomplished so far within European Solidarity Corps, but also critically support shaping of the next generation of the programme.
Background information for the activity
Strategic National Agencies Cooperation (SNAC) on Volunteering is preparing as one of the activities an international activity “SNAC Volunteering Conference” in a scale of 100 participants. The SNAC aims to strengthen the European Solidarity Corps Programme and to put solidarity in the heart of European Solidarity Corps volunteering. The conference is to contribute to these two overall aims of the SNAC and brings specific objectives.
Within the SNAC were conducted several researches and analysis on Volunteering and its position within the EU programmes and National schemes. The conference will be the space to introduce the researcher results and collect the responses and feedback from the important stakeholders of the program.
Throughout the conference we would like to also support the implementation of Council Recommendation on mobility of young volunteers across the EU.
Expected availability from the participants
During September 2023 an online preparatory meeting of 2 hours is planned.
The conference itself takes place 4.-6.th October 2023
Wednesday 4th October starting at 10:00
Friday 6th October ending at 13:30
The organization team asks participants to stay the full length of the program. As the location is in Podgorica, Montenegro please check your connection possibilities. Participants are welcomed to come on the 3rd October or leave on the 7th October if the connection possibilities request so.
Check the VISA regulations in Montenegro for your country.

SALTO European Solidarity Corps encourages people with diverse backgrounds of culture, religion, gender, sexual orientation, ability or socio-economic status to apply.
All interested candidates should apply by filling in the application form by 27. 06. 2023

The participation fee varies from country to country. The hosting SALTOs of this offer will organise the accommodation and cover the costs for accommodation and food.
