Training Course

15-23 November 2021 | Biały Dunajec, Poland

Training course aims developing the competances for upcycling the old clothes through sewing and creating new products. Developing the methods for group sewing workshops as a tool for social inclusion and youth empowerment.

Objectives of the training

  • development of methods and tools for social inclusion through sewing group activities-development of sewing competances of participants (knolwedge how to sew, develpemnt of sewing skills and development of attitudes torward sewing craft)
  • promotion of sewing the used clothes and textiles as upcycling method for creation new useful items for daily life
  • developing diverse ideas, sketches and final products based on sewing and upcycling
  • foster networking between youth workers from different countries
  • development of participants competances, supporting their personal and professional development
  • promote intercultural learning among participants.

Activities

First part of hte training is dedicated to learn about social inclusion, sewing, using different stiches for different materials and learning how to make the sewing projects from old materials and clothes.

Second part of the training would dedicated to developing ideas and creating the final products which would be sewed by participants in groups. 

Daily there would be at least 6 hours of workshops and time for reflection. (everyday we will start workshops at 9:30 and finish around 19 oclock, with 2 coffee breaks and lunch break).
