Seen, Heard & Supported: Creating pathways for NEET young people (not in employment, education or training)

Study Visit

16-20 November 2026 | Meath , Ireland

Study Visit exploring how we can better engage and support young people who are not currently in education, employment or training (NEET). This call is for partners to participate in the Study Visit in Meath from 16th-20th November 2026

About the project

We are looking for experienced and motivated youth organisations to join our upcoming Erasmus+ Youth Worker Mobility Study Visit exploring how we can better engage, understand and support young people who are not currently in education, employment or training (NEET).

Through intercultural learning, discussion, reflection and practical activities, participants will have the opportunity to challenge assumptions, develop greater awareness of different perspectives and explore how we can create more inclusive spaces for young people.

We are particularly interested in organisations with experience working directly with NEET young people and a commitment to meaningful youth participation and inclusion.

Objectives

The project will bring together youth workers from different European countries to:

  • Explore what it means to be seen, heard and supported
  • Explore culture, identity and diversity and how these shape our experiences
  • Develop awareness of unconscious bias and how it can influence the way we see and interact with others
  • Share experiences and good practice in working with NEET young people

Possible Partners

We are particularly interested in organisations that work directly with young people with fewer opportunities, including organisations that work with:

  • Young people from ethnic minority communities.
  • Young people involved in or leaving the criminal justice system.
  • Young people in care or care leavers.
  • Young people facing social, economic or educational barriers.

We are looking for organisations that:

  • Have experience working directly with these young people.
  • Are willing to share their experiences, good practices, activities and practical tools with international partners, in a world cafe activity during the study visit
  • Have regular activities with young people in your organisation
  • Are interested in developing long-term parternerships.
  • Can share real stories of impact-what has worked, what hasn't and what approaches have made a meaningful difference for young people
