Seminar
12-23 July 2021 | online, Germany
Nazi Forced Labour Documentation Centre in Berlin and Service Civil International invite you to contribute to a digital photo exhibition project on the topic of forced labour. During the digital camp we want to discuss Nazi forced labour and explore other examples from the Second World War period as well as modern forms of forced and unfree labour. You will be invited to search for traces of forced labour in your home country and to document the results with the camera. As a result of the project, the visual stories will become part of an online exhibition. No prior knowledge in photography is necessary. The project will be accompanied by a professional photographer who give an introduction into photography and help create your story.
The study camp will also provide a platform for educators and youth leaders to exchange ideas on methods and best practices in youth work with other colleagues from Europe, Asia and Africa.
The exhibition from last year's study camp is here: https://ausstellungen.deutsche-digitale-bibliothek.de/searchingfortraces
We will be meeting online Mo-Fr for max. 3 hours a day between 10:00 and 13:00 CET (Berlin time). There will be no meetings at the weekend.
