STA Latvia also participates in different social projects and promotes sailing as a method in youth work. In 2015 a training course SAIL4entrepreneurSHIP gathered 20 youth workers and youth leaders from Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania to sail the Baltic Sea for two weeks and explore sailing opportunities in youth work and entrepreneurship competence development.
STA Latvia is also a member of the "Sail Training International" network and the organization has long experience in organizing international sailing trips and participating in regattas.
