Safe & Sound: Empowering Inclusive Environments in ESC Projects

Training Course

16-23 January 2025 | Rimini, Italy

This 6-day TC (plus 2 travel days) will take place in Rimini, Italy, gathering 21 participants. The program is designed to equip volunteers and youth workers with skills to create safe, inclusive, and supportive environments in their volunteer projects.

Participant Profile:

We are looking for participants of all ages (form 18+) , fluent in English, with experience in youth work (especially within ESC). Ideal candidates are motivated to create inclusive and safe spaces in their projects, open to sharing their experiences, and eager to learn practical tools for managing diverse groups.


Project Objectives: 

  • Promote Inclusion and Diversity Awareness: Equip participants with knowledge and strategies to foster empathy, respect, and inclusion in diverse volunteer groups.
  • Develop Skills for Safe and Supportive Environments: Train participants in tools like active listening, conflict resolution, and nonviolent communication to create safe volunteer spaces.
  • Provide Inclusive Project Management Tools: Share practical tools and best practices for managing ESC projects inclusively, supporting participants from all backgrounds.
  • Enhance Intercultural Competence: Build cultural sensitivity and empathy through shared experiences, promoting global citizenship and mutual respect.
  • Build a Supportive Network for Best Practice Sharing: Establish a network of ESC partners for ongoing support and collaboration on creating inclusive and safe project spaces.

Participation fee

No fee is required

Accommodation and food

The hosting organization will require food and accomodation for the Training days.

Travel reimbursement

Travel costs will be reimbursed up to the maximum
amount indicated by the distance calculator
provided by the European Commission.

No advance payments will be made to partner
(sending) organizations, with the exception of
participants with few financial opportunities (fewer
opportunities, economic obstacles), situation that
will be addressed individually.
