Russia&EU Dialogue Program

Young people from Russia and EU countries have much more similarities than differences! However, the difficult political situation today leads to the partial isolation of Russia from Europe. We believe that youth work is the powerful tool to overcome the exciting difficulties and develop further contacts between Russian youth and the youth from European countries. We invite youth workers to join the partnership-building activity where we will discuss how the youth work can facilitate the contacts between Russian youth and the youth from other countries. Though the focus of the event is the dialogue between the youth from Russia and EU-countries we do not limit the participation by youth only from Russia and EU. We invite youth workers from other countries who are interested in working with the youth organizations from Russia to join the event as well. During the partnership building activity the participants will be invited to share their experience in the field of international dialogue. We expect as the result of the event we will have the collection of ideas for the development of youth work in countries with challenged political regimes which can be suitable for Russian youth organizations as well as organizations from other countries which are facing the similar issues. The event is designed for active youth workers who would be willing to work further for the topic of the development of contacts between their organization and the youth organizations from Russia. The partnership building activity will be organized in the following ways – we will have a series of sessions from trainers who have experience of working with Russian organizations and will share their insights. Further participants will be invited to share their insights and ideas. After that participants will be offered to form small groups based on interest and work for own ideas for the projects which could help to assist Russian youth in their isolation from the youth from the other countries. We hope participants will be able to develop strong projects which can be continued after the event. We are willing and able to assist with implementation of the best projects.
