ROUTE LA RIOJA

Training Course

28 July - 5 August 2026 | La Rioja, Spain

Rutea La Rioja is an 8day itinerant youth trail across La Rioja, in Northern Spain. We will hike through mountains, explore caves, visit cultural venues, participate in local events and immerse ourselves in the historical richness of the region.

9 days, 30 young people from all over Europe, all the valleys of La Rioja, and more than 30 of its towns are the main ingredients that make up this proposal. Volunteering, sport, adventure, learning, caring for nature, camaraderie, knowledge, and rural development. It’s a complete package. Promotion of culture, personal development, care for villages, and preservation of landscapes and traditions. An itinerant route through La Rioja that brings together the two key elements for its success: a setting rich in people and places, and a group of young people eager to give their best to support the land that hosts them. We present Rutea La Rioja 2026.

We have aimed to incorporate all the experience gained over the years through Erasmus+ training courses, with the goal of boosting the villages and rural areas of our region. To achieve this, nothing better than a traveling university on a regional scale, inspired by initiatives such as Ruta Quetzal, Ruta Inti, or Ruta 7.

The idea is for this route to promote the sustainable development of the lesser-known corners of our region, highlighting both their natural and cultural heritage as well as their entrepreneurial dynamism. It aims to encourage repopulation and innovation in those villages that, nevertheless, offer a world full of opportunities. We want La Rioja to be presented to the world as a complete territory: landscape, tradition, innovation, entrepreneurship, and young talent

Manfred on Tour (Youth NGO)

Manfred on Tour is a youth non-profit association based in Logroño, Spain, established in 2020 to provide learning opportunities for participants from diverse countries, cultures, and backgrounds, which focuses on promoting youth development and mutual understanding.

Since launching our first youth exchange six years ago, we have grown and expanded our knowledge of the Erasmus+ program. From activities with youth workers to longer collaborations and even seminars with decision makers, our topics have consistently focused on entrepreneurship, personal development, and leadership.

This time, we have the pleasure of presenting an exciting step forward for us. With this project, we aim, for the first time, to take the classroom, literally, outside. We launch a long-time dream, an itinerant route that combines nature, group work, personal development and physical challenge.

We plan this adventure to be an insightful one. Green, sustainable, youth-led.
