Training Course
6-13 September 2026 | Etyek, Hungary
A 6-day training program bringing together active youth workers in a shared learning experience. The project supports professionals in understanding how young people navigate eco-emotions and uncertainty. It strengthens both personal and collective resilience through nature connection and by exploring how communities can nurture well-being and mutual empowerment.
It also equips youth workers with practical tools, methodologies, and approaches they can bring back to their own groups and local communities, extending the impact beyond the training itself.
AIMS
To explore how to empower young people to face socio-ecological challenges with awareness and resilience, and to cultivate hope for a brighter future through critical thinking, self-empowerment and meaningful community experiences.
To support youth professionals in helping young people develop the confidence to question assumptions, critically reflect on their personal values and shape their own informed responses to the challenges of today.
To gain a deeper understanding of how natural systems adapt and regenerate. Observe and learn by being in nature and translate these lessons into human life and social resilience.
To acquire simple, practical tools to deal with stress, regulate emotions and increase the level of eco-emotional intelligence.
To learn how to facilitate a safe space to engage in honest conversations and to explore our emotions to understand what they reveal about ourselves and the complex world we all live in.
To enhance both personal and collective resilience by bringing together nature-connection, body-based practices, and real-life experiences with communities.
LEARNING EXPERIENCE
The learning experience includes a six-day residential event held at the Szatyor Community House in Etyek, Hungary.
The residential training, taking place from 7-12 September 2026 (6th and 13th are the traveling days), will guide you through a journey to understand your emotions about ecological changes, find your connections for grounding and regulating, and plan your actions among your communities for better resilience. You'll be introduced to approaches such as meaningful nature connection practices, self-awareness activities, diverse community building and community care practices, and how to initiate these practices in your work and personal life.
The training is organised and hosted by Szatyor Association in Hungary. It is funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.
FACILITATORS
The training is facilitated by eco-trainers with wide experience in ecoliteracy, non-formal education, and mental health-related approaches.

VENUE
The residential parts of this educational program will take place in Etyek. It is a village situated 30 km west of Budapest.
We will host the event at the Szatyor Association Community House, which offers simple but comfortable living spaces, several bathrooms, a shared kitchen (both indoor and outdoor), and a common living area.
Participants will be accommodated in rooms with 3–4 beds. The house also has a surrounding garden, which we will use for some of the activities.
