Room for Everything

Training Course

29 April - 6 May 2026 | Statek Habří, Czech Republic

Knowing when to slow down. When to speed up. Room for Everything is an Erasmus+ training for youth workers on resilience and mental health, using embodiment and applied improv to regulate stress, stay present, and respond with more choice.

ABOUT

Room for Everything is an Erasmus+ training course for youth workers exploring resilience and mental health through improvisation & embodiment.

The world is loud and quick, and our nervous systems feel it.

Supporting others, navigating uncertainty, holding a lot. Stress, anxiety, and pressure are no longer exceptions, they are part of everyday life. This training offers space to pause, land in the present moment, and reconnect with what supports us from the inside.

Through embodiment and applied improvisation, we will explore how to regulate stress, stay present in challenging situations, and find more options to respond instead of reacting on autopilot. We will practice both capacities: to slow down when life is too much, and to step into action when it is time, with more clarity and choice. We start from personal experience and translate it into youth work practice, asking:

how do I build resilience in myself so I can support others in a sustainable way?

Disclaimer: This program is offered as a learning and training experience. It focuses on practical tools, reflection, and shared exploration. It is not therapy, and it is not intended to replace professional mental health care or clinical support.

THE METHODOLOGY

We work with two approaches that fit together naturally: applied improvisation and embodiment. Both are experiential and practical ways of learning that go beyond words. You will leave with tools you can use for yourself and bring into your youth work.

With embodiment, we bring attention back to the body. We move through a wide range, from breathwork, grounding and slowing down, to lively, dynamic and playful practices that wake up energy and connection. You will explore how to notice what is happening inside you, and how to come back to presence when life pulls you away.

With applied improvisation, we take this into interaction. Through non-verbal exercises and performative elements, we train spontaneity, responsiveness, and the ability to choose your next step in the moment. Less thinking ahead, more listening and adjusting to what is already here.

FOLLOW-UP AFTER THE PROJECT

We envision Room for Everything project making a meaningful impact for you and the communities you belong to.

Taking what you’ve learned beyond the program is an essential part of the journey. After completing the training, you will be expected to put your knowledge into action by designing one follow-up action.

  • Workshop for your target group: organize a workshop for at least five participants, incorporating elements from the training.
  • Knowledge transfer meeting for youth workers: share your experience and methodology in a meeting within your sending organization.

We are looking for participants who see this as more than just a task to complete but as an opportunity to create something that has real value. You will have one month after the project to carry out this action, either individually or in collaboration with other participants. The completion of this step is also linked to your reimbursement.
