Training Course
8-16 December 2026 | Sakarya, Türkiye
“Resilient, Inclusive Skills for Empowering Youth Workers” is an Erasmus+ training course that brings together youth workers from Türkiye, Hungary, Romania and Cyprus. Through non-formal learning and practical activities, it strengthens their ability to support young people from diverse backgrounds and create more inclusive youth work practices.
PROJECT AİM
The project aims to equip youth workers with practical tools to support young people with disabilities, migrants, economically disadvantaged youth and those affected by gender inequalities. It promotes inclusive approaches that create safe and supportive environments for all young people.
SKILLS DEVELOPMENT
Participants will strengthen their skills in inclusive communication, empathy, conflict management, intercultural understanding, project design and digital tools. They will learn how to adapt youth work activities to different needs and encourage meaningful participation.
HOST & SETTİNG
Hosted by Sakarya University, the training combines university-based learning with field visits to local youth centres, municipalities and NGOs. Participants will explore inclusive practices and connect their learning with real youth work settings.
PARTICIPANTS
The training brings together 32 youth workers, eight from each partner country, supported by two trainers/facilitators. Twelve participants have fewer opportunities. Participants work with disadvantaged young people or are strongly motivated to develop their practice in this field.
ACTIVITIES
Across 8 activity days, participants will engage in non-formal learning workshops, forum theatre, role plays, simulations, intercultural dialogue, digital content creation and project design. Field visits will connect these methods with practical experience.
IMPACT & OUTCOMES
Participants will document their experiences through “Journey Stories”, which will be compiled into a digital booklet. These resources will make learning visible, share practical approaches and help other youth workers and organisations strengthen inclusion in their everyday work.
LONG-TERM OUTCOME
The project aims to strengthen the capacity of participating organisations and encourage lasting cooperation. By applying and sharing the methods and digital resources developed, youth workers will promote inclusion, diversity, intercultural dialogue and active citizenship in their communities.
