Training Course

12-18 April 2024 | Spain

This course offers an intense and immersive experience to fully understand the current climate and ecological crises in all its dimensions, so we can then focus on practical, concrete solutions such as ecosystem restoration.

This  training course is taking place from 12th to 18th April 2024 in Aguarón, Spain, focused on addressing the challenges of the current climate and ecological crises. The course aims to provide practical solutions for mitigating these crises and regenerating ecosystems and culture.

The training is intended for passionate youth workers, educators, activists, and change-makers who are genuinely concerned about the climate and ecological crisis. Participants should be motivated to learn facilitation skills that they can apply in their own contexts and work.

During the course, participants are encouraged to switch off their mobile devices to minimize distractions and maximize learning. The emphasis is on creating deeper human connections, practicing mindfulness, and being present at the moment. While exceptions can be made for important matters, participants are asked to leave their electronic devices in a box throughout the training.

The training incorporates the Work That Reconnects (WTR), a group methodology developed by Joanna Macy, to activate emotional, psychological, and spiritual resources necessary for rediscovering connections with oneself, others, and the Earth. The program aims to create a safe and supportive space for participants to explore their inner and outer reality.

The trainers, Carlos Buj and Daniela Tablado, have experience in facilitating workshops related to nature, permaculture, and environmental activism. They will provide guidance and support throughout the training.

The venue, called "Casa Algaia" is located in a beautiful valley in Sierra de Algairén, Zaragoza, Spain. It offers a serene environment surrounded by natural beauty. The provided vega meals are based on a Mediterranean diet, with consideration for allergies, gluten intolerance, or vegan preferences. Mobile phones will be turned off during the whole training course.
