Training Course
30 June - 8 July 2023 | Izvoare, Harghita, Romania
Context: All the organisations in this consortium are organizing Youth Exchanges and are familiar with the rules of the Erasmus+ programme. However, especially in the context of accreditation we are all confronted with limited and sometimes contradictory information with what is expected from us as organisations when implementing a youth exchange. The new Erasmus+ brought a lot of novelty such as varying distance bands, inclusion provisions, Erasmus+ quality standards. With this TC we will bring light and reach a common understanding among the youth workers in the ASEY network and beyond with regards to best practices and quality aspects that each youth exchange should meet.
Aim:
Increase the quality of the Youth Exchanges implemented by partner organisations to this by integrating to our Youth Exchanges the Erasmus+ Quality Standards.
Objectives:
Our training contributes to the following general objectives of our accreditation:
Objective 2 : This objective addresses the needs and challenges encountered by the staff of our organization at the level of using and implementing non-formal learning methods both live and digitally. Through this objective, YES staff and its partners will be empowered with both live and digital tools and methodologies in working with young people, increasing the quality of Projects.
Objective 4 : The fourth objective is a structural one that aims at the medium and long-term development of the organization, addressing the needs described above. Firstly, by aligning the organization's standards with quality standards Erasmus will improve our projects. At the same time, through the exchange of good practices we will have access to valuable resources that will help us to constantly develop organizational processes and procedures, contributing to the realization of an organizational network in the youth field and to increasing organizational adaptability to various contexts (e.g.: moving live activities to digital).
Activities and Methodology:
Quality Youth Exchanges in Erasmus+ is a TC addressed to youth workers and staff of youth organisations aimed to empower them with the knowhow, attitudes, and aptitudes necessary in assuring the quality of the youth exchanges they will implement. To achieve this, we will make full use of nonformal participative learning methods.
Profile of participants:
The target group of this activity is represented by youth workers and staff with background in youth organisations and with previous experience or interest do develop quality youth exchanges. The minimum age requirement is +18 years old and minimum level of English B2.
The total number of participants is limited to 16.
Results and impact:
The main result of this TC will be the empowerment of 16 youth workers with the knowhow, attitudes and aptitudes necessary to analyse, plan, implement and evaluate quality youth exchanges.
Additionally, a positive result of the TC will be that the consortium organisations will be able to collaborate on other E+ projects and have a common approach on what is expected from a quality youth exchange.
This TC will contribute to quality youth work in the field of inclusion of youth facing fewer opportunities, therefore assisting to the achievement of the inclusion objective of KA1.
Visibility:
In all our publication and visibility materials we will respect all the requirements of the E+ visibility guide and we will include the disclaimer, EU visual elements and acknowledge the financial support provided by the European Union.
All our partners will promote their participation on their website and social media.
A webpage will be created to disseminate further this learning experience.
All the results achieved will be uploaded on the E+ Project Results Platform.
