Quality of Youth Work

E-learning

25 November 2021 | Online, Belgium - FL

This webinar is about Quality Youth Work. You'll discover more about how to further improve youth work, the European policy context & development, and the European Charter on Local Youth Work e.g.. It's also the first event for future Charter Ambassadors.

Call for participants

The European Charter on Local Youth Work was launched in June 2019 as “a common European platform for the necessary dialogue on youth work”. The charter is not a political document, but “a checklist around which stakeholders can gather and discuss what measures might be needed for the further development of youth work”.

The Charter has met very positive reactions throughout the youth work community of practice. In the declaration from the 3rd European Youth Work Convention, Signposts for the future, the charter is explicitly mentioned as an important tool for the quality development of youth work.

Europe Goes Local has decided to establish a network of Charter Ambassadors. The training for future Charter Ambassadors will be organised in the first quarter of 2022 but the process will kickstart with a series of webinars. The first webinar will take place on November 25th between 14.00 and 16.00 CET. The theme of the webinar will be Quality Youth Work. You can find the programme in the attached document.

The webinar is open to all, but due to limited places priority will be given to applicants who:

  • See the need for further development of youth work;
  • Have solid experience in carrying out and/or managing local youth work, working as civil servants or being active in NGOs;
  • Are familiar with the European Charter on Local Youth Work;
  • Have previous experiences in leading discussions and/or holding courses/training;
  • Have contacts and channels to reach out with information and support also beyond their own organisations.
  • Are willing and able to support or run processes also outside of their own organisations and with different stakeholder groups (such as politicians, managers, young people, etc.);
  • Are able to communicate in English.

Participants can choose to participate in a single webinar or the whole series. It's however recommended to participate in the whole serie. That goes especially for those who will be nominated by their NA to become a Charter Ambassador and therefore will do the residential training.

Participation in this webinar is possible after registration. The deadline is November 18th. Shortly before the webinar, you will receive a link to the application which will be used for this seminar.

To register, send an email to fill in the Google Form. Please provide the following information:

  • Your name
  • Your e-mail
  • Your background and experience with/in youth work
  • Your motivation to participate
