Prioritizing Mental Health

Training Course

13-17 November 2024 | Chania, Greece

The aim of this training course is to equip the participants with essential skills to address mental health challenges and build resilience while recognizing when to seek professional support.

Objectives

  • Develop a practical understanding of mental health and wellbeing, with strategies for integrating it into daily life.
  • Learn what psychological first aid entails and how to apply it effectively.
  • Build and implement practices to support individuals in distress.
  • Recognize the importance of self-care while helping others.
  • Foster a collaborative environment for networking and future partnerships.
  • Share and exchange tools, resources, and good practices for mental health support.
  • Understand mental health services and mental health disorders.
  • Know what psychological first aid is and what it is not

Target Group

The activity is addressed to:

  • Youth workers
  • Youth leaders
  • Trainers/Learning facilitators
  • Project Coordinators
  • Mentors
  • Coaches

 who are:

  • actively involved in Erasmus + / Youth projects and the European Solidarity Corps and feel that they need to upskill their competences in regards to dealing with mental health challenges;
  • over 18 years old;
  • able to communicate in English;

The activity will take place in Chania, Greece (Akali Hotel). All participants will be accommodated in twin rooms.

Participation fee

This project is financed by the participating National Agencies (NAs) of the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps Programme. The participation fee varies from country to country. Please contact your National Agency or SALTO Resource Centre (SALTO) to learn more about the participation fee for participants from your country.

Accommodation and food

The hosting NA of this offer will organise the accommodation and covers the costs for accommodation and food

Travel reimbursement

Please contact your NA or SALTO in order to know whether they would support your travel costs. If yes, after being selected, get in touch with your NA or SALTO again to learn more about the overall procedure to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
