[ OBJECTIVES ]

The aim of "Practice Makes Perfect" is to address the need for more innovative and inclusive approaches in youth work by equipping youth workers with skills in graphic facilitation. Associació Cultura Creativa and partner organisations have identified gaps in engaging young people, especially those with learning challenges or fewer opportunities, as traditional methods often fall short. Graphic facilitation, a visual method that simplifies complex ideas using graphics, can help bridge this gap, making learning more accessible and engaging.
The project aims to:
• strengthen youth workers’ visual facilitation skills to create more inclusive learning environments;
• encourage creativity and innovation in youth work practices;
• promote the use of digital and non-digital graphic tools in daily activities;
• boost confidence in applying graphic facilitation in real youth work settings.

[ THE PROJECT ]

The core activity of this project is a 7-day residential training course in Spain, designed for youth workers and focused on graphic facilitation and visual thinking. The programme is highly practical and structured around learning by doing:
→ Foundations
Introductory sessions on the principles of graphic facilitation and visual thinking.
→ Practice
Hands-on workshops with drawing exercises, visual templates and the creation of personal visual dictionaries.
→ Tools
Sessions on tools supporting graphic facilitation in youth work.
→ Reflection
Individual and group reflection, peer feedback and guided self-assessment.
→ Inspiration
The venue, in front of the beach, has been intentionally chosen to support creativity and focus.
→ Transfer
Follow-up planning focused on applying the learning in participants’ organisations and local contexts.

This training course is designed for youth workers and professionals actively working with young people in educational, social or community-based contexts. It is fully based on non-formal education methods, learning by doing and active participation, and is best suited for participants who feel comfortable in experiential and creative learning environments.

There's no participation fee. The project is 100% funded.
The project is 100% funded.
The Erasmus+ Programme finances the travel of participants, up to certain limits depending on the travel distance. Participants, to ensure their presence, will have to provide for their travel and will get their reimbursement after completing the follow-up phase.
Max reimbursement amount per participant:
560 € – Armenia
375 € – Bulgaria, Lithuania, Poland
289 € – Croatia, Italy, Portugal
20 € – Spain
We deducted 20 € per participant to cover the local transport from Gandía to Piles and back.
