Post Traumatic Healing: Nature-Based Psychosocial Support & Resilience Building

This Erasmus+ Training Course brings together youth workers, educators, and social practitioners from various partner organizations to explore nature-based and psychosocial approaches to post-traumatic recovery. Set in the historic surroundings of Kozan, Turkey, the program allows participants to develop practical tools to support young people in their home communities who have been affected by trauma, crisis, or displacement.

Throughout the experience, participants build professional skills alongside practitioners from across Europe while learning and practicing specialized eco-therapy methods. This immersive learning journey in the nature of Kozan concludes with the acquisition of the official Youthpass certificate, validating the competencies gained during the stay.

The primary aim of this training is to strengthen the capacity of youth workers to deliver high-quality psychosocial support using eco-therapy and nature-based methods. Over the course of the 5-day programme, participants gain both a deep theoretical knowledge and hands-on facilitation experience to ensure they can apply these techniques effectively in their professional roles.

The curriculum focuses on understanding complex frameworks of trauma and resilience while actively practicing mindfulness and outdoor facilitation techniques. A core part of the process involves the co-creation of tools and activities designed for immediate use in youth work practice. Additionally, the program fosters a rich environment for professional networking, allowing participants to exchange valuable experiences with peers from various partner countries.
