Pathways to Accessible Youth Work - Online Conference

Conference – Symposium - Forum

16 July 2026 | online, Hungary

A professional day on making youth work more accessible and inclusive for young people with mental health difficulties, neurodivergent youth, and young people with disabilities, offering practical tools and a new methodological publication.

Pathways to Accessible Youth Work is a professional online event dedicated to strengthening inclusive and accessible approaches in youth work. The event will take place online via Zoom on 16 July 2026, from 10:00 to 13:00 CET.

The activity focuses especially on young people who live with mental health difficulties, neurodivergent young people, and young people with disabilities who may face barriers in youth programmes, communities, and services.

The aim of the event is to explore what accessibility, safe space, and an inclusive mindset mean in practice within non-formal learning and youth work. Participants will be introduced to a new methodological publication and practical tools that can support them in making their programmes more accessible, safer, and more inclusive for young people with diverse needs.

The programme includes professional presentations, interactive group discussions, the introduction of an online learning platform, and a panel discussion with partner organisations and experts. Through practical examples and shared reflection, participants will gain ideas and tools they can use in their own youth work settings.

The activity is targeted at youth workers, social and educational professionals, staff of civil society organisations, programme managers, stakeholders in youth work, and anyone working with young people with special needs. No previous expertise in accessibility is required; the event is designed for professionals who are open to learning and taking practical steps towards more accessible youth work.

Participation is free of charge, but registration is required.

Invitation with the detailed programme is attached.
