Path to Success – Training Course for Youth Workers

7–13 December 2025 | Târgoviște, Romania

Empowering Youth Through Career Guidance and Employability Skills

The Path to Success Training Course is part of the Erasmus+ KA2 Cooperation Partnership project “Path to Success – Empowering Youth for the Future through Career Guidance”, coordinated by Asociația Be You (Romania) in partnership with Spark Foundation (Poland), ZPTM Brežice (Slovenia), and Youthfully Yours (Slovakia).

Context

In today’s fast-changing labour market, young people often face uncertainty when planning their professional future — balancing skills, ambitions, and opportunities. The Path to Success project was created to help them navigate this transition.
This training course equips youth workers, educators, and career counselors with innovative career guidance tools and methods that make career counseling practical, inclusive, and engaging.

About the Training Course

This international training course for youth workers focuses on career guidance, employability, and non-formal education.
Participants will explore how to implement and adapt the project’s main educational tools:

1.Career Guidance in Action Handbook – A collection of 20 tested good practices in youth career orientation.

2.Career Counseling Program – A structured educational toolkit with sessions on self-awareness, soft skills, and labour market exploration.

3. Job Interview Card Game – A gamified learning tool that helps young people prepare for job interviews in an interactive and fun way.

Training Course Objectives

The course aims to:

  • Strengthen career counseling competences of youth workers.
  • Equip participants to use and adapt the Career Counseling Program and Job Interview Card Game in their daily youth work.
  • Encourage networking and peer learning among European youth professionals.
  • Promote inclusion of disadvantaged youth and NEETs through engaging and accessible learning activities.

Participants Profile

The Path to Success Training Course is open to youth workers, trainers, and career counselors from Erasmus+ Programme Countries who are actively working with young people.

Participants should:

  • Be 22+ years old and actively involved in youth work.
  • Come from Erasmus+ Programme Countries
  • Have experience or strong motivation in career guidance, youth employability, or skills development.
  • Be willing to participate fully and apply the tools (Handbook, Program, and Card Game) in their organizations after the training.

Priority will be given to participants working with disadvantaged youth or NEETs.

Methodology

The training uses non-formal education methods, including workshops, simulations, and gamified learning, allowing participants to experience the project results in action.
Participants will co-create local initiatives using these tools to strengthen youth employability and career readiness.

Expected Impact

By the end of the course, participants will:

  • Gain practical skills in career counseling and employability training.
  • Be confident in using interactive and inclusive tools for career development.
  • Contribute to a growing European network of youth professionals supporting young people’s transition to the labour market.
