Partnership-building Activity

The aim of PBA is promoting the networking and establishment of long-term partnership between youth organizations from Programme (Latvia, Poland) and Eastern Partnership Countries (Georgia) in field of rural youth work and rural development.

The PBA will support of developing capacity of youth workers and partners in Erasmus+ KA1 and KA2 Eastern partnership Window strands and to establish partnerships for youth and youth work projects for targeted on rural youth and youth living in remote area.

Specific objectives of the partnership-building activity:
- Exploring quality teamwork and partnership on European level projects
- Sharing realities related youth work programmes existing in our organisations/communities 
- Understanding and sharing the situations and challenges to face when organising youth/youth work projects in rural area
- Introducing in details Erasmus+ (KA1 and KA2 EaP window ) programme 
- Introducing in details the procedures and respective application forms of the Erasmus+
- Initiating and developing Erasmus+ projects using youth work in rural   and remote areas

We expect from participants to be able to represent their sending organisations and enter into new partnerships and new project proposals during this PBA.

Association "Merkuri" (Youth NGO)

Association “Merkuri” is non-governmental, non-commercial, non-profit organization established in 2004 in Zugdidi (Georgia).
We won our first project in 2007. Since this time, we successfully realized more that 40 different projects financed by local and international donors. We are actively involved in voluntary work in our community, in international movements and actions. Association “Merkuri” provide humanitarian help, support and re-socialization services for vulnerable groups.
Association “Merkuri” was initiator of establishment of Gender Network in Samegrelo region
We realized our first international project (“Melodies of Peace”) in 2012. In same year, we got accreditation as European Voluntary Service organization. We become representative of the Georgian National Platform of Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum in 2016.
Association “Merkuri” opened first shelter for women - victims of domestic Violence in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region in March 2018.
Association “Merkuri” works in few main fields: Women’s Empowering, Domestic Violence, Youth: Development and Support.

Fields of our interests: Culture, Ecology, Rural development, Volunteering

Our main beneficiaries are
• local and IDP (refugee) women who live in Samegrelo region,
• rural women,
• victims of domestic violence,
• returned illegal migrants,
• ex-prisoner women,
• local, rural and IDP youth,
• children from social unprotected families.

Costs

Participation fee

No participation fee.

Accommodation and food

The travel, accommodation, food and the program itself are co-funded by the European Union through the ERASMUS+ program.

Travel reimbursement

The organizers will reimburse travel costs for the amount showed in the original boarding passes, tickets and invoices, up to the limits indicated in the ERASMUS+ program guide.

Limit for international travel cost for participants:

- from Poland 360 EUR per person

- from Latvia is 360 EUR per person

- from Georgia - 15 EUR per preson

Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
