Pact4Peace

Training Course

15-23 August 2023 | Stuttgart, Germany

The project focuses on promoting peace education and conflict resolution, particularly among young people while equipping youth workers with the necessary knowledge, skills, and tools.

The Pact4Peace project is an Erasmus+ Training Course that focuses on promoting peace education and conflict resolution, particularly among young people. The project aims to equip youth workers with the necessary knowledge, skills, and tools to effectively promote peace education and conflict resolution among young individuals.

During the project's dissemination phase, participants have the opportunity to apply their newly acquired knowledge and skills by designing and implementing peace education activities with young people in their communities. The project's impact on both the youth workers and the young people they work with will be evaluated, and the results will be disseminated to raise awareness about the importance of peace education and conflict resolution.

The project's key objectives and expected results include:

  • Increased knowledge, skills, and competencies of youth workers in designing, implementing, and evaluating peace education and conflict resolution activities.
  • Increased engagement of young people in peacebuilding efforts, leading to reduced violence and increased social cohesion in their communities.
  • Strengthened cooperation and networking among youth workers and youth organizations across Europe in the field of peace education and conflict resolution.
  • Increased awareness among policymakers and the public regarding the importance of investing in peace education and conflict resolution activities for young people.
  • Development of a Pact4Peace toolkit on peace education and conflict resolution, which will be shared with other organizations and used beyond the lifespan of the project.
  • Increased capacity of participating organizations to support their youth workers in designing and implementing effective peace education activities.
  • Successful pilot implementation of peace education activities by trained youth workers, resulting in concrete and measurable positive impacts on young people and their communities.

By addressing the challenges and opportunities faced by young people and promoting peace education and conflict resolution, the project aims to contribute to the development of more peaceful and inclusive societies.
