Join our training in Benalmadena, Spain (23-29 Oct 2026) to foster resilience in youth NGOs. Youth workers will learn to improve frameworks, share best practices & build proactive adaptability.

Context and Overview

The youth sector is constantly evolving, requiring organizations to be adaptable and prepared for sudden shifts and future challenges. The training course "[ES-820] Organizational development for preparedness: Fostering resilience in youth NGOs" is designed specifically for professionals active in the fields of non-formal learning and youth work who want to strengthen their organizations from the inside out.

Taking place in Benalmadena, Spain, from October 23nd to 29th, 2026, this mobility will gather youth workers and project managers from across Europe and partner countries. The training focuses on evaluating and enhancing operational frameworks to promote a culture of proactive resilience within youth projects and non-governmental organizations.

Project Objectives

  • Equip junior youth workers and project managers with the skills and knowledge necessary to assess and improve their organizations' operational frameworks, fostering a culture of adaptability and proactive resilience.
  • Share and analyze successful case studies and best practices in organizational development, focusing on strategies that enhance preparedness for future challenges in youth projects.
  • Create a platform for youth workers to connect, share experiences, and collaborate on innovative solutions, thereby strengthening partnerships across diverse youth NGOs.
  • Facilitate the creation of tailored action plans for participants, enabling them to implement learned strategies and tools in their respective organizations to enhance preparedness and resilience.

Who is this for?

This training is exclusively targeted at applicants working directly in the field of non-formal learning and youth work. We are looking for:

  • Youth workers.
  • Youth NGO project managers.
  • Individuals with a strong motivation to implement structural and operational improvements within their sending organizations upon their return.

Participants:

24 participants from EU Member States, third countries associated with the programme.

Inclusion: We actively encourage applications from individuals facing fewer opportunities (economic, geographical, or social obstacles), with 4 dedicated spots available.

Sustainability: We prioritize environmental responsibility and have 3 dedicated spots for participants utilizing Green Travel (train, bus, or carpooling).

Methodology

The training will be grounded in non-formal education principles. Through interactive workshops, group discussions, and the analysis of successful case studies, attendees will explore strategies that improve organizational preparedness. A core component of the program is the development of tailored action plans, empowering participants to confidently implement effective tools to enhance their organizations' resilience and readiness for upcoming challenges in the youth sector.

There is no participation fee for this project.

Accommodation and food

Accommodation and food  (3 meals per day + 2 coffee breaks) will br provided by the venue). 
Travel costs will be reimbursed within 4 weeks after the project end and completion of all dissemination activities.
