This webinar aims to build relationships between organisations who working with young people with in rural areas around Europe to share their experience.

The webinar will take place online

Time: 10am to 1pm Brussels time/ 11am - 2pm  Finnish time/ 9am to 12noon Irish time.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on youth work in rural areas. It has brought significant new challenges in reaching out to, and supporting young people. Youth workers around European have adapted to these challenges, working through lockdowns, social distancing and transferring communication and activities online. With less opportunities to travel in the last year youth workers have been very focussed on supporting young people in their areas with less opportunities to look at what is happening in youth work around Europe. This webinar is an opportunity to see what is happening for youth workers around Europe and how they are dealing with challenges of supporting young people in Covid-19 times, what they have learned about overcoming these challenges.

Objectives:

  • To meet your peers from around Europe doing rural youth work and develop a partnership
  • To support youth workers to develop sustainable partnerships for inclusion youth mobility
  • To learn about the particular barriers in rural areas during the Covid-19 and learn what works to overcome the barrriers.
