This online training activity is part of the Erasmus+ project “Rewriting the Story: Empowering Youth against Bullying”. It aims to support youth workers and educators in strengthening their competences to prevent and address bullying through innovative non-formal learning approaches.

Bullying remains a significant challenge across Europe, affecting young people’s well-being, social development, and participation. Many youth workers and educators face difficulties in engaging young people on this topic and lack practical, innovative tools to address it effectively.

This e-learning activity introduces participants to storytelling and gamified methods as powerful tools to explore bullying, foster empathy, and develop key social competences such as communication, assertiveness, and conflict resolution.

Participants will discover how to create safe and engaging learning environments where young people can reflect on their experiences, share perspectives, and develop positive behaviours.

The activity will take place online (webinar format). Practical details and access information will be shared with selected participants.

The activity aims to:

  • strengthen the capacity of youth workers to address bullying through non-formal education methods;
  • introduce storytelling and gamification as tools for youth engagement and learning;
  • support the development of young people’s social and emotional skills;
  • promote inclusive and safe learning environments in youth work contexts;
  •  encourage the use of innovative approaches in non-formal education.

As part of the project, several practical resources have been developed and will be presented during the training:

  • a manual including 20 non-formal education (NFE) methods focused on bullying prevention and the development of social skills such as empathy, communication, and conflict resolution;
  • a collective educational board game designed to simulate real-life situations and encourage dialogue, reflection, and group learning around bullying;
  • a multimedia storybook bringing together real stories from young people, including audio recordings where participants share their personal experiences with bullying.

These resources aim to support youth workers in creating meaningful and impactful learning experiences.
