NUI Certificate in European Youth Mobility Project Management

Training Course

26 January - 30 June 2024 | Maynooth University , Ireland

This is a Level 8 Certificate programme accredited by Maynooth University, that aims to support students to integrate European Youth work into their organisational programmes, strategies and workplans.

The NUI Certificate in European Youth Mobility Project Management is a Level 8 Special Purpose Programme accredited by NUI Maynooth and carries 20 credits under the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).

What to expect?

The programme will be delivered from January to June 2024 using a blended learning approach. Students will be expected to attend: 

ONLINE:  weekly classes on Thursday mornings 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. 

REDIENTIAL : 3 residential weekends at Maynooth University  ( accommodation & meals included in programme fee) 

STUDY VISIT ; Travel for an International study visit to Slovenia in May 14th - 17th, 2024  (flights, accommodation & meals included in programme fee)

ASSESSMENTS: Participants will be expected to undertake individual research and reflection and complete assignments outside of contact hours.

Who is this programme for?

This education and training programme is intended for youth service managers; youth work practitioners; those experienced in the design, development and delivery of youth work programmes; those working with young people and interested to develop high quality international mobility projects in the context of Erasmus+.

 

Programme Structure

The Certificate in European Youth Mobility consists of four blocks as outlined below:

Block One: National and European contexts:

the frameworks for youth work and non-formal learning; the opportunities and challenges of European youth mobility; and the history and development of National and European Policy and European Funding Programme specifically  Erasmus + & European Solidarity Corps

Block  Two:Principles and practice skills:

European Competence Models for Youth Workers, strategically embedding a European approach as per needs of young people and organisational capacity. Developing a quality funding application as per funding and policy objectives. 

Block  Three: International study visit:

 A very exciting part of the programme, At study visit to Slovenia  is scheduled to take place in May 14th - 17th,  2024  (All costs all covered). This is a super  experiential learning opporunity  and a chance to  peer exchange and make connections  with other youth workers  in an international environment. 

Block Four: Mobility project management

This guides students through each stage of the project cycle, building on the learning and relevnace of content in previous modules and application of learning to the practicality of forumalting a quality funding application form.

Participation fee

The course fee is €480 per participant. This fee is heavily subsidised by  Erasmus+ and includes accommodation and meals costs for residential elements and all costs associated with the study visit.
