This training course focuses on “Emotional Ecology”, aiming to enhance youth workers’ self-care, emotional resilience and strengthen both interpersonal and intrapersonal competencies. As youth workers navigate complex social realities, their ability to understand and manage emotions—both their own and those of others—is essential for creating safe, inclusive, and empowering environments for young people.
Through a series of experiential learning sessions, participants will explore key areas of emotional ecology: self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills. Each day will combine interactive activities such as role plays, group exercises, guided reflection, and peer learning to translate theory into practice through non-formal education.

*This training is open to ALL European Countries (not needing a visa to enter Portugal.
In case you are selected we will need to partner with an NGO from your country. It would be best if you are somehow involved with the NGO either as an employee, a youth worker providing services for the NGO, a volunteer, in any other capacity or you have participated in other Erasmus+ projects with them before.
At the application stage you will need to provide a contact person's name, email and a link to the NGO's website or social media account.
In case you're not involved in or you don't know any NGOs in your country, your application will still be considered and Bloom will select an NGO from our network. There will be space in the application to provide your answer if this is the case for you.

Bloom - Associação Sócio Cultural (Youth NGO)
he social cultural association BLOOM is a nonprofit organization founded in March 2008. BLOOM works in different regions of Portugal, mainly in the country side. BLOOM is managed by 11 people- members of the board plus social corps, who develop volunteer work inside BLOOM, in it’s 2 main delegations (Lousã and Figueira da Foz), to empower youngsters with and without special needs/fewer opportunities and local organisations
BLOOM's main activities are related with mobility of youngsters. Since 2008 we are actively involved in different projects within the previous programme Youth in Action. BLOOM gained significant experience in planning and implementing activities supported by both Erasmus Plus KA1 and KA2 actions, as well as European Solidarity Corps. We are Coordinating, Hosting and Sending EVS/ESC volunteers; Hosted, participated in and supervised several Youth Exchanges for youngsters with special needs; Organized seminars and various Study Visits. We are mainly experienced in working with youngsters with different (dis)Abilities, however, we have a wide and strong network in equality, diversity and inclusion work with youngsters from an LGBTIQ+, and other minorities’ backgrounds. In the past few years BLOOM got involved in projects with a specific focus on social inclusion, safe learning environment and transforming hate.

Accomodation and food is covered by Erasmus+ for the project dates from dinner on 22/10/25 to breakfast 30/10/25.
Accomodation: rooms of 2 or 3 based on gender.
All traveling costs are covered by Erasmus+ in the form of reimbursement. Participants need to keep all invoices, boarding passes and bus tickets in the original form.
As this is an Accredited Erasmus+ project, the travel budget depends on the distance between the participant’s home city and Lousã.
