NING- Training for Leaders

RATIONALE AND AIMS OF THE PROJECT With the current Training Course IG aims to prepare leaders in international atmosphere, explore the origins and the actual meaning of volunteering as a tool for social change, through a mutual empowerment process between trainers and trainees. Participants will have the possibility to experiment and deepen their skills on being leaders, manage a group, cope with conflict and intercultural learning, but also use volunteering as a tool for active citizenship and youth participation. After joining this TC there will be the possibility to coordinate internationals and local international volunteering project already since summer 2014 with IG and its partners. Moreover special attention will be given to social inclusion of people with fewer opportunities and how to increase a visibiliy and impact of camp as a tool for peace and social change. It will be a combination of theoretical inputs and practical activities, using non formal learning methods and peer education tools involving actively participants at each stage of the training. CONTENTS The program will include the following topics: - Types of international youth and volunteer projects - Responsibilities of different sides involved in a camp and its phases - Leadership and group-dynamics, decision-making in the group, Team building - Intercultural communication and learning in a workcamp - Local impact and visibilità during International voluntary projects - How to affar conflicts and risky situation with the groups - Educational activities in international youth and volunteer projects, -Sustainable lifestyles and zero impact during international voluntary projects - Practical volunteering activity involving also local youth. ACCOMODATION Training Course is organized by InformaGiovani in cooperation with the local host Habitat Eco Village, a permaculture village among the Tuscany hills, involving IG international partners in the frame of EU programmes, namely Youth in Action ( see countries involved in detail). The training course will be held in a real venue for camp, where accomodation will be basic ( in tents) and where participants will experience how an IG camps is developing being actively involved in its implementation. It is also foreseen to have a small leading simulation within an internaitonal volunteer project with local Italian youngsters. HOW TO APPLY -DEADLINE- SELECTION AND PARTICIPANTS INVOLVEMENT Interested participants from ( Croatia, Estonia, France, Italy,Latvia) will have to apply via Salto System of application.The deadline to send the application form is 27th of April. Selected candidates will be informed about the selection result by the 30th of April. Participation to this TC gives the possibility to receive the Youthpass Certificate.
