Club "The House" - Youth for a United Europe (Youth NGO)
Club “The House” – Youth for a United Europe is an apolitical youth NGO founded in 1995 in Latvia. With 700+ members (ages 13–25) and over 30 process managers, it champions European values—democracy, pluralism, tolerance, human rights, active citizenship, and digitalization—through youth empowerment, civic engagement, and non-formal education.
Each year, the organization runs more than 50 activities involving 4,500+ direct participants and reaching 300,000+ people through media. Strategic priorities include Youth Policy Development, Youth Participation, Equality, and Democracy. Their programs range from interactive workshops on European institutions and digital skills to advocacy efforts at ministries and municipalities.
Club “The House” coordinates European School Clubs in Latvia, partners with different EU institutions, and hosts the Young European Federalists (JEF). Collaboration with ministries (Education, Foreign Affairs, Culture, Interior) ensures strong policy influence, while training and capacity-building initiatives help other NGOs enhance volunteer coordination, digital skills, and management practices.
A key focus is on regional youth with limited opportunities, offering them resources and support to identify local challenges—like climate, education, or employment—and implement practical solutions. Major projects include “Civically Active Youth in Regions” (engaging 450+ participants) and “I am European,” which advocates for inclusive migration policies. Club “The House” also implements the UN Youth Delegate Program in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
With extensive experience in Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps projects, Club “The House” blends arts, media, and civic participation to strengthen Europe’s nonprofit ecosystem. A dedicated board and council lead diverse programs, backed by 35 youth leaders and 200+ volunteers who ensure meaningful outcomes for young people across Latvia and beyond.
