'New Wave' is designed to improve the quality of daily activities among qualified youth workers by integrating innovation into leading young people and volunteers. The training will also support experienced volunteers to take the next step into becoming leaders/organizers of volunteering projects.
The methodology adopted is a combination of experiential learning sessions and practical skills sessions designed to effectively lead volunteers & groups of young people.
You'll have the opportunity to develop coaching & mentoring competences, work in mastermind groups during the whole program and receive feedback from professional coaches and mentors.
Who are we looking for?
- You’re over 18 and reside in Bulgaria, Hungary, Italy, Greece, Spain, Lithuania, Romania, Latvia or Portugal;
- You are a youth worker (also: a trainer/educator of youth leaders) or an experienced volunteer who’d like to become a leader of volunteering projects;
- You’re interested in developing skills in youth work and ready to be challenged;
- You’re committed to taking part in the whole program and follow-up;
- You are able to freely communicate in English.
Note: Young people and youth workers with fewer opportunities (social, economic, cultural, geographical, NEETs) will be given a priority in the selection process.

Synergy Bulgaria was founded in 2013 with the mission to support young people and professionals in reaching their highest potential through continuous personal and professional development. We empower, inspire, and educate people to become active members of society and bring a positive change into it.
Starting from 2015 we’re holding an EVS accreditation as a hosting and coordinating organization. Our EVS/ESC projects are mainly focused on the topics of skills development, employability and entrepreneurship, as well as inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities and in NEET life situations.

This program is supported and co-funded by Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission. Thus, personal contribution is as low as 40 euros.
Accommodation, food and training materials will be provided by Synergy Bulgaria.
Travel costs of the participants from hometown to Sofia and back will be reimbursed up to the limit:
Bulgaria - 20€; Hungary, Italy, Spain, Lithuania and Latvia - 260€; Greece and Romania - 165€; Portugal - 345€.
Additionally, Synergy Bulgaria will take care of the bus Sofia - Ravnogor - Sofia. COVID-related expenses will also be included into national travel limit.
