Network Building Activity for ESC Lead Organisations: Strengthening Cooperation and Advocacy

Partnership-building Activity

30 October - 3 November 2025 | Galbiate (Lecco), Italy

Decision-makers from ESC Lead Organisations will meet to strengthen cooperation, share practices, refine volunteer exchanges, develop quality standards and reinforce advocacy at European level, as a first step in joining our international network.

This activity is part of the multi-activity project “Networking, Exchanging, Supporting and Training” (NEST).

The Network Building Activity will gather managers and decision-makers from organisations holding the ESC Lead Organisation Quality Label, active in youth work and non-formal learning.

The meeting will focus on:

  • strengthening cooperation and building new partnerships;
  • exchanging good practices in ESC volunteer management;
  • evaluating and improving systems for volunteer exchanges;
  • refining quality standards and common guidelines for the network;
  • advancing collective advocacy to improve ESC regulations and practices at European level. This includes contributing to a common petition promoted by The GloRe Network, which aims to influence European institutions and secure a stronger, more inclusive ESC in the next seven-year programme cycle.

More information about the petition can be found here: international.glorecertificate.net/support-the-petition-for-a-stronger-european-solidarity-corps (click the link).

This NBA will also serve as the first step for joining The GloRe Network, and will open the door for each partner organisation to send 1–2 participants to the following Training Course on Risk Mitigation and Crisis Management (Crotone, Italy, 13–20 March 2026, dates to be confirmed).

Preparatory and follow-up tasks are an integral part of the project. All participating organisations are expected to:

  • sign the petition on the ESC, if your organisation agreed on it;
  • share the petition with at least 5 other ESC organisations;
  • join 2 online preparation calls before the NBA;
  • take part in 1 follow-up call after the NBA;
  • contribute to the Online Conference on the petition (December 2025), involving at least 1 ESC organisation.

Through this process, participants will not only benefit from peer learning and networking, but also contribute to shaping the collective advocacy and quality standards of the ESC at European level.
