Partnership-building Activity
3-7 November 2019 | Prague, Czech Republic
“Often we do our work and would never imagine that there are other youth workers working with similar issues and similar groups of youngsters. Sometimes we think on where to get new ideas and inspiration to continue our work with young people. We invite you to attend this training to meet other colleagues from around Europe and find out about their experiences, share your practice, get new ideas, inspiration for your work with young people in NEET situation.” Natasha Gudakovska and Paul Kloosterman (Trainers of the training course in 2018)
This training course will bring together professionals working with young people in NEET situation and those working in organizations which offer young people international youth work opportunities (especially through Erasmus+ Youth in Action/ European Solidarity Corps). The TC will give time and space to participants to share and gain knowledge and skills on how to work strategically with young people in NEET situation, how to use Erasmus+ Youth in Action and other international youth work possibilities as a tool in their work and to find a way into trustworthy partnerships on national and international level and good quality projects.
There are many young people, who due to their life situation miss out the opportunities that are often promoted as open for all. Those are the young people who might in many ways be the ones who benefit the most from a possibility to be involved together with their peers from other countries in an international project or voluntary activity.
The main objectives of the training:
Participants:
This activity is for youth or social workers or educators working with the above mentioned target group, and who are interested and motivated to get their young people involved in international youth work. We also welcome people who already have experienced in international youth work.
Priority will be given to following participants:
Background
This training course is organized in the strategic partnership on Inclusion between NAs of the Erasmus+ Youth program. The main objective of this partnership is to improve and increase the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities in the program, in line with the Erasmus+ Inclusion and Diversity Strategy in field of youth. This partnership fosters sustainable engagement and capacity building of organizations either already working with young people with fewer opportunities in international activities through E+: YiA or those organizations planning to do so.
An important part of an international cooperation is a strong partnership of organizations, especially when it comes to involvement of young people with fewer opportunities. It is important to cooperate with trustful partners both in your own country and abroad to make sure that young people taking part in an international project get support according to their abilities and needs. It is also important to know the young people you and your partners work with and the realities in your partner countries.
Please, notice!
After selection of the participants, the NAs should prepare their participants regarding E+ and ESC programmes and their opportunities.
Selected participants should also be aware of the SPI NEET and its basic strategy.
During the training participants will introduce the overall strategy of their organizations related to the inclusion of young people in the NEET situation (not particular projects only).
Team
The TC will be developed in an international team of NA's and trainers, Henk Persyn and Maja Drobne
