Navigating the Polarities of Democracy: Justice and Due Process - Live Webinar Series

Justice and Due Process is the third webinar in the Navigating the Polarities of Democracy for Empowered Youth Participation series, implemented within the Erasmus+ project (2025-3-BG01-KA154-YOU-000381552).

This interactive online webinar explores one of the core polarity pairs of the Polarities of Democracy framework, developed by Dr. William Benet. The session will focus on the relationship between justice and due process, examining why both are essential for democratic societies and how balancing these values can strengthen democratic institutions, participation, and decision-making.

The webinar will be led by Morris Bidjerano, Fellow of the Institute for the Polarities of Democracy, who will introduce participants to the theoretical foundations of this polarity while encouraging dialogue, critical reflection, and the exchange of experiences.

The activity is designed for youth workers, youth leaders, trainers, educators, facilitators, civil society representatives, and other professionals working in the field of non-formal learning and youth work, as well as anyone interested in democracy, civic participation, and social change.

Using interactive methods, discussion, and practical examples, participants will:

• explore the concepts of justice and due process within democratic systems;
• reflect on current democratic challenges from the perspective of polarity thinking;
• exchange experiences with participants from different countries and professional backgrounds;
• discover how the Polarities of Democracy framework can be applied in youth work, non-formal education, and community engagement.

The webinar is open to participants from all countries, and no previous knowledge of the Polarities of Democracy framework is required. The event will take place on 23 July 2026 at 19 CET.
