Nature as a Classroom: The Journey towards Outdoor Education

Participants will develop practical competences such as wilderness navigation, shelter-building, and environmental awareness, while also discovering how these experiences can be used as educational tools to foster personal growth, resilience, teamwork, and environmental stewardship among young people.

By reconnecting young people with nature and promoting experiential learning, the training course contributes directly to the objectives of fostering environmental awareness and empowering young people and youth workers through innovative, inclusive education. It will also equip participants with tools to integrate outdoor education into their daily practice and encourage young people to become more active in sustainability and respect for nature.

Participants profile:

• should be 18 years old or over
• should be able to communicate in English
• should take part in the whole period of the training course
• should be ready to promote activities in their own community after the training course ends
• selected participants will be responsible for organising one local follow-up event for at least 8 participants (seminar, workshop, etc.) in their own community within 2 months after the training course
• selected participants will also be responsible for dissemination and visibility activities related to the project
