Multisensory spaces for restorative justice - FOR-J piloting phase

Training Course

14 November 2025 | online, Italy

Online experiential training on how multisensory spaces can be used in youth work to foster empathy, responsibility and restorative dialogue. A 90-minute interactive piloting activity within the FOR-J project.

“Multisensory Spaces for Restorative Justice – FOR-J Piloting Phase” is an online experiential training course designed for youth workers, educators and facilitators interested in restorative practices and emotional learning.

The session introduces a multisensory and participatory methodology to explore the key principles of restorative justice — listening, empathy, responsibility and repair — through artistic and digital tools.

Participants will experience an interactive 90-minute Multisensory Space (MSS) implemented via Zoom and Padlet, combining sensory exploration, storytelling and group dialogue. The pilot focuses on a real-life case inspired by youth digital interactions and cyberbullying, promoting reflection on emotions, harm and collective repair.

The activity is part of the FOR-J Project (Fostering Restorative Justice in Youth Work), co-funded by the Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme.

Learning outcomes:

  • Understanding the concept and purpose of multisensory spaces (MSS) in restorative youth work;
  • Experiencing a structured online MSS session and its digital facilitation tools;
  • Reflecting on how restorative dialogue can address real or symbolic conflicts;
  • Exchanging approaches to integrate MSS and restorative methods in youth settings.

Methodology:
The training is fully online and combines non-formal education, experiential learning, group reflection and emotional literacy techniques. Participants are actively engaged through shared Padlet boards, individual sensory exploration, and collective dialogue.

Trainers/facilitators:
Team from SOLIS SRLS and TNC  (italy) , with expertise in restorative justice, autobiographical theatre, and participatory methods for youth empowerment.
