27 September - 5 October 2025 | ISI Glamping & Vardousia Mountains – Scout Refuge, Fthiotida, Greece, Greece
Mountain First Aid is a 9-day Erasmus+ training course in Greece designed for youth workers and outdoor enthusiasts. It begins with 4 days of seaside glamping in Raches, Lamia, where participants learn essential first aid and survival skills from certified rescue professionals while enjoying cultural exchange and coastal activities. The program then shifts to the Vardousia Mountains for a self-organized mountain expedition involving trail restoration, herbal learning, and team-building tasks. Participants rotate responsibilities like cooking and group care, promoting leadership, resilience, and cooperation. This action-based learning journey blends nature, personal growth, and environmental impact.

What will we do?
First aid training by a certified rescue team
Orientation and outdoor navigation workshops
Hiking, trail restoration & hands-on learning in nature

A unique journey of personal growth, nature connection, and real leadership!
Accommodation and meals are fully covered by Erasmus+, and travel expenses are reimbursed.

Costs
Participation fee
There is a participation fee of € 50,--
This money will be kept from the travel reimbursement!
Accommodation and food
The project is 100% funded by the Erasmus+ Programme.
Travel reimbursement
The Erasmus+ Programme finances the travel of participants, up to certain limits depending on the travel distance. Participants, to ensure their presence, will have to provide for their travels.
The Travel reimbursement will cover the following amounts:
10 - 99 km: 28 EUR - Green Travel (56 EUR)
100 - 499 km: 211 EUR - Green Travel (285 EUR)
500 - 1999 km: 309 EUR - Green Travel (417 EUR)
2000 - 2999 km: 395 EUR
3000 - 3999 km: 580 EUR
You will be picked up by bus in Athens center or at the airport of Athens. The bus will also bring you back to Athens after the project. Please keep in mind to stay minimum of 50 euros under the travel budget to save it for the bus.
