About the Training Course

This training course is specifically designed for youth workers, mentors, coaches and active volunteers who want to strengthen their professional competencies in managing international initiatives, fostering well-being, and implementing high-quality non-formal learning environments.

In the absence of formal vocational pathways for youth work in many European countries, international mobility serves as a vital tool for qualification building. Taking place in Kobuleti Georgia, this project brings together passionate professionals to dissect the internal mechanics of Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) projects. The training avoids abstract theory, focusing instead on practical, day-to-day tools to help you build resilient project environments and effectively support young people throughout their learning journeys.

Main Objectives

The core goal of the project is to elevate the quality of youth work by equipping participants with psychological, communicative, and administrative tools.

During this 5-day training course, you will have the opportunity to:

Deconstruct Project Architecture: Map out the roles, responsibilities, and crucial operational boundaries  ESC and Erasmus+ projects.

Master Empathetic Communication: Practice Non-Violent Communication (NVC) techniques, active listening drills, and "I-statements" to prevent project friction.

Navigate Crises & Stress: Gain practical crisis-resolution and conflict mediation algorithms, alongside vital tools for personal stress management and burnout prevention for youth workers.

Exchange International Best Practices: Participate in a study visit to Batumi, where you will directly engage with a local Georgian NGO to compare youth work realities across countries and run a creative street-outreach campaign.

Co-Design Reflection Tools: Run interactive World Cafe workshops to test and develop creative reflection methodologies (such as Dixit cards, guided journals, and storytelling).

Own the Youthpass Process: Go through a hands-on simulation of the Youthpass certification, learning how to easily translate non-formal activities into the 8 Key Competences.

Methodology & Working Style

Our working methods are rooted entirely in the principles of Non-Formal Education (NFE) and Experiential Learning (learning-by-doing). Expect an active, highly participatory, and dynamic environment where you won’t just sit and listen, but actively facilitate, simulate, and co-create.

Daily programs will be organized in structured morning and afternoon blocks, balanced by collaborative reflection sessions. You will frequently work in smaller international teams, maximizing peer-to-peer learning and fostering future partnership opportunities.

Logistics & Venue

The training takes place in Georgia, a country world-famous for its stunning landscapes and unparalleled hospitality.

Timeline: September 14th is the arrival day; September 20th is the departure day 2026.

Accommodation: Full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and coffee breaks) will be provided at the venue.
