Mind over Monsters is a training course that aims to equip youth workers with the essential tools and knowledge to effectively support young individuals grappling with mental health challenges.

Mind over Monsters is a training course that aims to equip youth workers with the essential tools and knowledge to effectively support young individuals grappling with mental health challenges. Recognizing the increasing prevalence of mental health issues among the youth in Europe, we believe that well-trained youth workers can offer the necessary guidance and support. We intend to foster an environment of shared experiences and collective learning. This collaborative approach ensures that participants benefit from a wide range of expertise and best practices from different cultural and professional backgrounds. Post-training, we envision our participants as ambassadors of the knowledge they've acquired. We expect them to integrate and disseminate their learnings within their respective communities, be it through workshops, discussions, or other forms of engagement. Moreover, our commitment doesn't end with the training; we aim to provide continuous support and resources, ensuring that our youth workers always have the backing they need to make a meaningful impact in their communities. Through these efforts, we aspire to create a lasting and widespread impact on youth mental health support across Europe.

Objectives :

To enhance Practical Understanding of Youth Mental Health by enabling participants to bolster their practical understanding and insight into youth mental health, ensuring they can recognize and address mental health issues proactively and empathetically.

To foster Collaborative Learning and Exchange by uniting youth workers from to delve into comprehensive discussions and exchange experiences about the unique mental health challenges and strategies faced in their respective communities.

To develop Tailored Strategies for Mental Health Promotion by facilitating the co-creation and role-play of tailored, practical strategies for mental health promotion and well-being in youth clubs and youth NGOs activities, focusing on proactive mental wellness practices and early support for youth.

To empower the Design and Launch of Local Mental Health Initiatives by equipping each participant with the tools and confidence to design and initiate impactful mental health projects within their local youth communities, aligned with the specific needs and contexts of their youth constituents.

To establish a Sustained Support Network by laying the foundation for a collaborative European network among participants for ongoing learning, support, and exchange in the realm of youth mental health, ensuring continuous shared growth and innovation post-training.

To encourage Exploration and Action on Mental Health Projects by offering participants the chance to explore potential mental health projects and initiatives, and encourage the commitment to carry forward these projects within their communities, ensuring sustained impact and change.
