Making Winter Sport Sustainable and Educational – EWWS 2026 Online Training

E-learning

19 November 2025 | Online, Italy

Online training for youth workers and educators on how to use winter sport as a tool for inclusion, sustainability and youth engagement, with practical resources from the European Week of Winter Sport 2026.

This international online training explores how sustainability, inclusion, and youth education can come together through winter sport activities.
Participants will learn how to design eco-friendly and inclusive sport events, engage young people as active citizens, and use practical tools developed within the European Week of Winter Sport (EWWS).

Through non-formal education methods, case studies, and experience sharing, participants will gain competences to integrate sustainability principles into their youth work, promote active lifestyles in winter, and use sport as a tool for climate awareness and community engagement.

This activity is open to youth workers, educators, trainers, sport coaches, and NGO representatives who want to bring movement, creativity, and environmental responsibility together in their projects.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

  • By the end of the session, participants will:
  • Understand how sustainability and inclusion can be integrated into youth work through winter sport.
  • Gain access to the EWWS Toolkit and learning materials for planning activities with young people.
  • Learn from European examples of eco-friendly winter sport events and community projects.
  • Exchange experiences and ideas for future youth sport initiatives.
  • Connect with peers and potential partners involved in EWWS 2026.

METHODOLOGY

The online training will be based on non-formal education methods, including interactive presentations, case studies, open discussion, and Q&A with European practitioners.
Practical examples and videos from real EWWS events will be used to support learning and inspire participants to apply similar approaches locally.

We coordinate international projects funded by Erasmus+ Sport, Erasmus+ Youth, and other European programmes, focusing on themes such as inclusion, healthy lifestyles, education through sport, and youth empowerment.

Our activities combine sport, outdoor education and experiential learning to promote the personal and social development of young people.
We regularly design and implement training courses, youth exchanges, teacher trainings and local youth initiatives in cooperation with schools, municipalities, and youth NGOs in Italy and across Europe.

Through projects such as the European Week of Winter Sport, we create opportunities for youth workers, educators and young leaders to use sport as a tool for engagement, community activation and intercultural exchange.
