 THEME: “CONFLICT”

In the next chapter of our alchemist’ journals, we want to go further and more in depth of the four elements we distilled at the first gathering.

Our main focus this time will be CONFLICT.

We will try to find the recipes for good conflicts to fuel our storylines. We will unfold what makes larp character a good antagonist. We will look closer at the mechanics for causing and resolving conflicts. And we will think how to amplify in-game conflict in practical design like scenography and costumes.

Why CONFLICT?

Because LARP is a wonderful tool which enables the players to engage in various strifes (physical, psychological, political, symbolic) within the safe environment of a game. The experience of conflict, as long as it stays between the role-played characters and does not emerge between the players themselves, has a deep learning and transformative potential, which we intend to explore during the 7 days of this unique training.

After all, we want to empower an even more loving and supporting international community of gamers and educators, ready to implement together LARP as tool for social change in various places and contexts.
