The study visit collects youth workers from Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Eastern Partnership countries and Russia to explore youth work practices with young people with less opportunities. The study visit travels through Latvia, Estonia and Finland.
There are many different groups of young people who find getting along in the world more complicated than their peers. In Latvia, Estonia and Finland many different kind of initiatives have been started to empower young people with challenges in life to overcome them and take part in the society.
This study visit explores the idea of doing things together. When someone who needs help gets help, both can go further together. By visiting different organisations - either public, non-governmental or free movements of citizens - it is possible to learn about the diversity of inclusion groups in Europe and meaningful ways to work with them.
Objectives:
• to explore the concept of inclusion and inclusive youth work
• to see examples of diverse practices of inclusion work in three EU Member States
• to explore the realities of inclusion work in participating countries
• to gain knowledge on how to use Erasmus+ Youth in Action as a tool for inclusion
• to develop partnerships between organisations
The activity is suitable for participants
1) Interested in using Erasmus+ Youth in Action in order to empower the lives of young people with fewer opportunities
2) Interested in widening their understanding of Inclusion
3) Interested in making their organisation work more inclusively
4) Interested in making contacts with inclusion organisations in other countries
5) Who are working with young people daily (youth workers, social workers, etc.)
Participants should also be over 18 years old.
The activity is organised by visiting different organisations in Latvia, Estonia and Finland and seeing at the same time the philosophy behind their work and the practice they use to enable, empower and include young people from various backgrounds.

Costs
Latvian and Estonian participants' travel costs will be covered, but a small participation fee will be required.
Finnish participants' travel costs will be covered and there is no participation fee.
Participants from the EaP and Russia regions will have their travel and visa costs reimbursed by the Latvian National Agency. There is no participation fee.
Board and lodging will be covered for all the participants by the Erasmus+ Programme.
Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
