Step in EVS! opportunity to know more about EVS and EVS accreditation in South-Med countries!
Training Course for Newcomers in EVS in EuroMed Tunisia, 4th (arrival day) – 9th (departure day) September 2017 Background of the course Since 2014 SALTO EuroMed is responsible of the EVS accreditation of NGOs in South-Med countries. In the last years, together with several Erasmus+ National Agencies, there was a great investment in terms of trainings and support for new accredited NGOs at national level. With this training, this year, organizations can benefit of new international training course putting together NGOs from 3 South Med countries (Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia), which are in the process of EVS accreditation and accredited NGOs in Programme Countries who want to start a cooperation in EVS projects with these South Med countries. EVS cooperation with partner countries including South-Med ones will be part of Erasmus+ programme also in 2018 in the new frame the programme will have. Target Groups - Partner countries (Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia) NGOs: Representatives of NGOs that are on the process of the accreditation: that they had applied for the accreditation and they we’re waiting to receive the accreditation field visit. The NGO can send 1 or 2 people who will be directly involved in EVS projects such as Mentor and Responsible of project/supervisor . - Programme Countries: Representatives of accredited NGOs (as sending/receiving and coordinating organizations) who want to promote EVS projects with South-Med partner countries. The NGO can send 1 representative who will be directly involved in the EVS project as mentor/RoP and have the mandate from the organisation to develop EVS projects with South Med countries. Methods and Programme The Training course will based on the experience gained within the Training For Mentors and Responsible of Projects run by SALTO EuroMed in 2014-2016 at national level but with an additional focus on partnership development between programme and South-Med countries organizations. The working language of the training will be English. Language support to French speakers can be provided. Aim of the training Aim of the training course will be to provide participants with basic knowledge about actors and rules of European Voluntary Service and at the same time prepare NGOs for the specific challenges of EVS cooperation with South-Med countries. These are the main topics that the training course will tackle: • EVS basic elements and rules • Fundamental Text of EVS • Self-assessment of the motivation and competences of the NGOs to host and send volunteers • Challenges in EVS EuroMed cooperation • Risk prevention • Challenges and ICL learning • Project management • Partnerships elements Selection of participants will be done by SALTO EuroMed for South-Med countries and from interested National Agencies for programme countries.

This project is financed by the Erasmus+: Youth in Action Programme. Being selected for this course, costs (accommodation, flight travel) relevant to participation in the course will be covered by the NAs or SALTO involved in this project - except a participation fee which varies from call to call and country to country. Please contact your Erasmus+: Youth in Action NA/SALTO-YOUTH EuroMed to learn more about the financial details, and how to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
