Join the European Workshop on Empowerment and Innovation in Youth and Social Work!

Seminar

20 December 2025 | Belgium - FR

Join professionals from Belgium, France, Portugal & Romania on Dec. 12th to identify Europe’s most innovative social work and empowerment practices. This FREE online workshop promotes inclusion and digital innovation across borders.

How can innovative practices make social work and youth work more empowering and inclusive across Europe?

As part of the NEF – Digital and Empowerment in Social Work Training Erasmus+ project, this European-level workshop brings together social workers, youth workers, educators, researchers, and NGO professionals from Belgium, France, Portugal, and Romania to identify and analyse outstanding empowerment practices in social and youth work.

Building on the national selection workshops, this session will explore how innovative approaches can be scaled, transferred and sustained across different EU contexts to strengthen autonomy and digital participation among vulnerable groups.

During this online event, participants will:

- Review practices pre-selected in each partner country
- Discuss their potential for impact, innovation, inclusivity, and transferability
- Select the top European practices to be promoted and integrated into NEF’s forthcoming training modules and resources

Best Practice Selection – European Criteria

The workshop uses shared European indicators for assessing good practices in social empowerment:

Impact on Empowerment: Enhances user autonomy, rights, and capabilities

Scalability / Transferability: Adaptable or replicable across EU contexts

Innovation: Introduces new pedagogical, technological, or social approaches

Inclusivity: Gender-sensitive, accessible, and intersectional

Participation: Involves target groups in co-design or implementation
